In line with the amendments to the Regulations Governing the Recycling and Disposal of General Waste, the EPA announced the General Waste Disposal Methods on 22 February to expand the effectiveness of general waste recycling.
The EPA stated that in accordance with the authorization of Article 14, Paragraph 2 of the Waste Disposal Act, the General Waste Disposal Methods was announced. The original Article 34, Paragraph 2 of the Regulations Governing the Recycling and Disposal of General Waste, the categories of the general waste to be recycled and the management methods specified in the attached table were all consolidated into the announced regulation. The specified categories and the management methods are for the types of general waste that are of stable nature or the recycling technologies are mature for, including food waste, night soil, waste lubricating oil, waste edible oil, scrap iron, waste paper, waste glass, waste plastic, waste single metal (copper, zinc, aluminum, tin), and waste natural or man-made textiles. General garbage, waste generated in the daily lives by business employees that are of stable nature, and waste that have mature recycling technologies were also included in the regulation to promote the sustainable recycling of resources.
