According to Article 10 of the Water Pollution Control Act, the Environmental Protection Administration (EPA) regularly monitors the water quality in all types of environments in Taiwan. This is done through 304 monitoring sites at 85 rivers, 105 monitoring sites at 51 reservoirs, 463 underground water wells, and so on. The results of water monitoring are used not only to build water quality variation tendency records, but also to provide assessment of water pollution control strategies. All monitoring data can be found on the EPA web site.
