Many agencies in the Asia-Pacific region are facing challenges related to climate change, but lack the capacity and expertise to address these issues. Key activities in the field include: disaster mitigation strategies; emergency response during extreme weather events; and adaptation to changing sea levels. The purpose of this activity is to exchange best practices in addressing climate change by complementing existing activities aimed at climate change mitigation with supplemental activities aimed at climate change adaptation.
