Contaminated sites threaten communities and public health, particularly that of vulnerable populations such as the elderly and children. Brownfields and other contaminated sites are prevalent in many parts of Asia. The purpose of this activity is to continue to advance the capacity of EPAT and the region to develop, choose, design, operate, and monitor various site remediation technologies and to improve compliance with regulations so as to reach environmental objectives for contaminated sites.
EPAT Designated Project Manager is Dr. Hao-Chun Hung, Senior Environmental Technology Specialist, Soil and Groundwater Remediation Fund Management Board.
